Group Joos continues its partnership with the non-profit organisation T’ANtWOORD

Since 2018, Group Joos has been supporting the neighbourhood restaurant ’tHERT of the non-profit organisation T’ANtWOORD in Turnhout.

The Joos family confirms that Group Joos will continue this support over the next three years. The company will contribute €10 per employee per month. For the period 2025–2027, this amounts to a total of €46,800, or €1,300 per month.

Alex Joos, CEO of Group Joos:
“Group Joos is deeply rooted in Turnhout. Our employees live, work and build their lives here, so as a company, we have a responsibility toward this region. Choosing T’ANtWOORD was an obvious decision: despite being an economically strong region, there is still an alarming amount of poverty. With this structural monthly support, we give priority to what matters most to us: fighting poverty in our own region.”

Four days a week, the neighbourhood restaurant offers affordable, fresh and healthy meals, prepared with care by a dedicated team of volunteers. It is not only more enjoyable to eat together, but these low-cost meals are also a vital supplement for people living on very limited incomes. Prices are intentionally kept low: people living in poverty can enjoy a hot meal starting at €2.

Food costs remain low thanks to surplus food and fresh vegetables donated by "GrensGroenten", an organisation that grows produce specifically for the restaurant.

Through this structural support, Group Joos makes an important contribution to the fight against poverty. Thanks to this financial backing, the organisation can expand its activities, reach even more people in need, and engage in dialogue with them. Together, we strive for a more dignified life for people living in poverty and defend the rights of the most vulnerable members of society.
