New secure grading reports for the HRD Antwerp
Made to travel the world
Even a well-established institution like the Diamond High Council cannot afford to rest on its laurels but must change with the times. That is why the HRD recently embarked on a rebranding exercise. The institution’s diamond grading reports also needed a new visual identity. Joos Print was tasked with this complex mission.
For over 30 years, the diamond industry has placed its trust in the Diamond High Council in Antwerp (HRD), which has become one of the most widely respected diamond labs in the world. The HRD Antwerp epitomises quality, authenticity and objectivity. It has offices in Antwerp, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Istanbul, Mumbai and Surat.
Jennie Baeten, the Marketing Manager of the HRD, has this to say on the subject: “Every diamond is unique. No two diamonds are exactly alike. That is why a universal standard was developed to identify diamonds. A diamond’s quality and value is determined by the 4 Cs: Carat , Colour , Clarity and Cut . The HRD Antwerp is an expert when it comes to analysing these characteristics. Buy a diamond that was certified by the HRD Antwerp and you will be able to read the assessment of its expert gemmologists in the diamond grading report that accompanies it. This report confirms the diamond’s grade and value, which is why it is an important document for us. As such, its style must also match the product for which it was established.”
Nothing like it anywhere else in the world

Carl Reynders, Key Account Manager: “We discussed and tested various alternatives. We finally settled on an end product in tear-proof paper. We combined this with a whole host of advanced security features to create a unique fraud-proof report. The report is printed with special inks, has micro-line structures and features a hologram.”
