NSI Group Starts Up NSI Tanzania Ltd
Group Joos is NSI’s key partner to develop solutions for secured documents. NSI Group starts activities in Tanzania. The company NSI Tanzania LTD was established in 2017 but the commercial activities only got underway officially on 21 March of this year in Dar es Salaam. During an official ceremony at the Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam, the start of activities related to the customisation of secure documents and electronic payment services was announced by the NSI Group Management Committee to the financial actors in the field. The Belgian Group Joos, worldwide specialist in printing secure documents, was represented at this event by Mr Vincent Dumortier.
Some 30 banks attended that day in order to make acquaintance with the group’s management team, to learn more about NSI’s activities, to ask questions about it and to discover its added value for the Tanzanian market.
Mrs Rita Ngarambe, country manager of NSI Tanzania, welcomed the participants. Her introduction was followed by a presentation by the group CEO, Mr Richard Michel, who underlined the added value of NSI in Tanzania and listed the benefits that the group can offer the banks and microfinance institutions of the country.
Then, NSI Group general manager Mr Olivier Duterme and IT director Olivier Cesar Muvuzankwaya, gave a detailed presentation. Both presentations were followed by a round of questions. During lunch, the banks were able to delve deeper into specific topics.
During the exchange of information, it was evident that the economic actors were very interested in the know-how, experience and commercial operation of NSI.
The following days were used to meet the local authorities (the central bank) and a number of potential customers. After Morocco, Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC, the NSI Group is expanding its activities in Africa with the addition of a branch in Tanzania, a market with considerable potential.
